Harley-Davidson's® Women's Amherst 5.5-Inch Black or Brown Leather Motorcycle Boots, D84236, D84237. Chucky lightweight lug outsoles and heels with capped toes beg the question of what to do at the fork in the road? The answer is “yes” – take either the highway or the fashion runway – both work with these boots. With smooth, rounded, and capped toes, the vamp is clean all the way up to the elevated cuff. YKK® dual locking inside and outside zippers and a pull-on loop mean these boots are easy to pull-on and kick off. Harley-Davidson® metal embellishments include a Bar & Shield® logo on the shaft as well as a leather B & S® button logo pull-tab on the zippers. The heel's counter is reinforced with an additional leather layer from the heel to the pull-on loop. Made with full-grain leather and a full-length mesh lining. On the street side, a Harley® orange logo badge is inserted into the instep. The boot's sole, insole and upper are bound using cement construction techniques, esteemed for its strength and resilience. Total height: 7.25", Shaft height: 5.5", Heel height: 1.75".     Comfortable from the first time I put them on. Zippers were a bit sticky: run a soft lead pencil up and down the zippers, zip and unzip, repeat until the zip is smooth. This style was called Starter Switch for many years. Amherst is a little different; lighter weight, mesh lining, sole not as clunky. They do scuff easily. I like that these boots are simple, functional, comfortable and stylish. Highly recommended.
