Firefighter badges also have a rich history, and Harley-Davidson® is proud to have their own version of the firefighter badge, in raised relief, on this ride bell. The badges that firefighters wear are adorned with symbolism of the history of the firefighter role. The most common symbol, found on this ride bell, is called the scramble - it’s the center seal of the Firefighter Badge which has a grouping of firefighter tools and symbols, such as ladders, axes, hooks, and a firefighter helmet. As with most firefighter badges, the scramble seal sits in the center of a maltese cross, which has come to symbolize the protection provided by the wearer of the cross and the loyalty with which he serves. For the top part of our badge, a bald eagle sits atop a Harley-Davidson® Bar & Shield®. The bell is made out of polished and chromed metal and includes ring for hanging, a felt pouch, and a legend card.
